Medical Leave Weekly Assignment
This section is for students that are absent 3-5 days. Each section is work to be completed over the course of one week. Below are different sections you can choose from to earn credit for PE while on medical leave.
Section 1
Weekly Articles: For each day you will find an article to read based on the topic. Read the article and summarize the article in 2 or more paragraphs. The first paragraph is a summary of the article and the second paragraph is describing how you can apply what you learned to your lifestyle. Once you are finished with the article, you will send the assignment to me using the link below and include the website you used to find the article.
- Day 1- Why should you eat healthy foods
- Day 2- Importance of Exercise
- Day 3- Cardiovascular disease and the causes
- Day 4- Affects of eating foods with to much sugar
- Day 5- What is diabetes
Section 2
Weekly Book: For this section you will find a library book that is health or fitness related. Read the book, then write an essay about the book. Include the information listed below with at least 5 paragraphs. Once you are finished with the essay, send it to me using the link below along with the book title.
- Summarize the book
- What did you learn
- How can you apply what you learned to your daily lifestyle
- How could this/you help family members
- Conclusion
Section 3
Google Slides: You will create a Google Slides project about the muscles of the body. Once you have finished the assignment submit it using the link below.
- Create one slide for each of muscle of the body: Pectoralis muscles, Latissimus Dorsi, Trapezius, Deltoids, Triceps, Biceps, Gluteus muscles, Hamstrings, Quadriceps, Gastrocnemius.
- For each slide you will explain where the muscle group is located, how is it used daily, an exercise to target that muscle, and a picture of the muscle.
